Director of Safety and Risk Management

Meet Randy Cooper, our Director of Construction Risk and Safety at The Rasmussen Group. With over 30 years of construction experience, Randy is dedicated to managing risk and safety programs, advising leaders on safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Previously at CRH Americas Materials, Randy served as the Safety Director for the Midwest Region. His expertise spans risk management, workplace safety, and cultivating a culture of safety excellence. He excels in developing and executing safety programs, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.

Beyond his safety roles, Randy has held leadership positions overseeing operations in paving and construction. A Simpson College graduate in Business Management with a minor in HR Management, Randy calls Des Moines home and resides in Ankeny with his wife, Emily. In his downtime, he enjoys tinkering around the garage and cherishing moments with family and friends.
